CEO

Bob is the CEO of RJ Martin Electric and has served in that capacity since August 2009. As the son of the company’s founder, he has literally grown up in the company. Throughout his career, Bob has been involved in virtually every aspect of running the business, from field experience, customer service and project management to financial and employee management. He serves on the company’s board of directors.

After earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, Bob joined the family business in 2002, working as a project manager for National Construction Services (NCS), LLC, of Twinsburg, Ohio. NCS was a joint venture with RJ Martin Electrical and a general contractor for national retail construction programs.

Bob assumed increasing responsibilities within the company and, in 2004, became a project manager for RJ Martin Electrical Contracting. In 2005, he studied electrical contracting project management at Purdue University.

Bob credits his father, RJ Martin Electric Founder Bob Martin Sr., for teaching him everything he knows about the business, and about life. At every opportunity, Bob Sr. imparted lessons about the importance of a strong work ethic, relationship building and treating RJ Martin Electric employees as the treasured assets they are.

Bob is married to wife Kelly, and they have two children. Bob and Kelly cherish their family time, which includes watching their children’s sporting events and staying active at every opportunity.

 
Johnny L. Riling

President

Johnny Riling is RJ Martin Electric’s President and has spent more than 30 years in the electrical construction industry, rising through the field and management ranks at several Ohio companies. In his current position, he oversees all estimating, project management and service operations for RJ Martin Electrical Services and RJ Martin National Contracting. He joined the company in 2001 as an estimator having previously worked as a project manager/estimator in Northeast Ohio the previous 13 years.

Johnny combines strong technical skills and an innovative spirit with a common sense approach to analyzing projects, troubleshooting problems and modifying antiquated systems. Johnny holds a Master electrician and/or contractor’s licenses in Ohio and 27 other states. He has worked on or managed dozens of large projects, including several valued at $1 million or more. The following is a sample list of projects that underscore his experience in all phases of electrical construction:

  • Design Build experience includes a nursing home, distribution facilities, fire station, 15 kV substation, 3 megawatt 5 kV generation for facility backup power and light manufacturing facilities
  • Industrial projects include installation of a twin extruder production line, installation of a triple feed extrusion system, equipment and plant relocations, various industrial control projects and precipitator electrical upgrades
  • Public and commercial project experience includes retail rollouts, large and small retail facilities, school projects (ground up and remodel), runway lighting, sheriff’s office with 140-bed correction facility attached, elevated water tanks, water and wastewater treatment plants

 
Tim Martin

Tim Martin

Vice President of Retail Operations

Tim began his career with RJ Martin Electric in 2002. As Vice President of Retail Operations, he is responsible for acquiring and maintaining relationships with national retail and restaurant chain and general contracting clients. Project scopes that Tim oversees include national remodels and rollouts, and daily work encompasses proposal development, estimating, client relations and oversight of project execution.

Major retail clients with which Tim has worked include CVS, Target, McDonald’s, Walmart Stores, Bonefish Grill, Olive Garden and Radio Shack.

Tim first began his apprenticeship program with RJ Martin Electric in 2002. In 2009, he was appointed Project Manager. In 2014, he was appointed to the position of Director of National Retail Accounts. Prior to joining RJ Martin Electric, Tim served with the United States Marine Corps.

Tim has a Journeyman card, a Master license in South Carolina and has collected 23 Masters licenses.

 
Chris Aguilar

Chris Aguilar

Director of Safety and Human Resources

Chris joined RJ Martin Electric in 2000. In his role as Director of Safety, Chris is responsible for all aspects of the company’s comprehensive safety program. This includes overseeing daily safety implementation processes and procedures at job sites; conducting ongoing safety training and annual reviews of the company’s safety program; deploying pre-project safety assessments with field supervisors; overseeing weekly toolbox talks; and conducting periodic OSHA jobsite visits, including temporary electrical inspections and observation/inspection of equipment as an added layer of protection.

  • OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer
  • RJ Martin Electric Drug-Free Workplace Program Administer
  • Certified to train RJ Martin Electric technicians via the e-Hazard Train the Trainer Low and High Voltage Training Program

Chris is a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his work with RJ Martin Electric, he has experience working with a large Cleveland-based general contractor. Chris is married and enjoys spending time with his family in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

 
David Berardi

David Berardi

Vice President of Ohio Operations

Dave began his career with RJ Martin Electric in 1995. He learned the business from below ground and up – literally – beginning as an equipment operator performing excavations for underground installations. He moved on to roles that included Electrical Helper, Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman, Project Manager/Estimator, and finally, Vice President of Ohio Operations in 2014.

Dave’s key responsibilities include overseeing estimating and operations for all electrical contracting projects in Northeast Ohio, as well as business and workforce development.

Dave is a Journeyman Electrician and carries many licenses and certifications. He possesses deep experience in low-voltage communication through medium-voltage installations, as well as all aspects of commercial and institutional work. He was fortunate to spend many years in manufacturing facilities where he was able to hone his industrial electrical craft. His diverse experience allows him to be innovative when pursuing Design/Build opportunities.

Additionally, Dave attended the Project Management Institute at Purdue University and sits on the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors Northern Ohio Chapter.

Dave met his wife, Jaclyn, at RJ Martin Electric in 1997. They have three beautiful children and enjoy camping with family and friends.
